This work features two figures reminiscent of an ancient Egyptian queen and a Roman warrior within arched portraits. The figure on the left wears elaborate Egyptian headdresses and attire, while the figure on the right is depicted as a Roman soldier with a red helmet and armor. These two figures symbolize civilizations that were often historical and cultural opposites. However, their large, innocent blue eyes seem to hold pure affection for each other, deepening the meaning of the title, ‘Forbidden love.’ The artwork elegantly expresses the power of universal emotion that blossoms despite worldly barriers and conflicts.
