Rush (2024)

As suggested by the title, ‘RUSH,’ this artwork captures a powerful sense of speed and explosive energy. A cartoon-style character dynamically lunges forward on a skateboard, maximizing visual tension on the elongated canvas. The red flames and dark-toned afterimages emanating from the character’s body and board visualize the emotion of ‘passion’ and ‘charge’ beyond mere speed. Notably, the character, despite wearing ordinary clothing, moves forward creating flames, humorously and intensely expressing the internal energy of modern people who fiercely rush towards a dream or goal even within the constraints of daily life.
