A space of color and imagination (2023)

This piece simultaneously displays architectures seemingly floating in the sky and a mysterious world submerged beneath the sea, literally creating ‘A space of color and imagination.’ Traditional Thai temples and houses are stacked one upon the other to form a giant ‘island,’ while strange creatures and artifacts lie sunken in the blue depths below. The contrast between the bright, earthly structures and the deep, blue abyss conveys a surreal sense that separates and connects the worlds of reality and dreams, consciousness and the subconscious. Through this fantastical structure, the artist visualizes a nostalgia for a soulful homeland or a lost paradise.
