‘Memories Beyond the Boundary’ by artist Andew Chaiphak is an intricate work that explores the boundaries of memory, consciousness, and existence in a surreal manner. The canvas is clearly divided into two contrasting realms. The left side, dominated by ochre and reddish tones, appears to be a compressed structure of internal mechanisms or past memories, mixing machine and organic forms. The right side is a deep blue-toned, abstract space resembling a complex neural network or the deep sea, symbolizing the future, the unconscious, or the unknown. In the center lies a mechanized, eye-like device connecting these two worlds. Below, small human figures are depicted operating or observing something. Notably, a green glowing energy tank suggests the vitality or mental energy required for these processes. The work raises questions about how memories are decoded and stored and the nature of an existence that persists beyond the boundaries of consciousness.
