As the title ‘Preservation’ suggests, this artwork is a fantastical landscape that illustrates a deep yearning for the pure ‘preservation’ of nature and life. Set against a dense and mysterious forest, the lower center of the painting features majestic predators (a lioness and a tiger cub or leopard) resting peacefully together. The image of the mother lioness and the tiger cub, in particular, emphasizes the value of harmony and coexistence beyond species boundaries. In the upper sections, rhinoceros families and other wild animals are safely nestled within comfortable havens. All these lives appear intertwined within the complex roots and blue-green foliage, forming a single, unified ecosystem. Through this peaceful and sacred image of the forest, the artist eloquently champions the fundamental beauty of nature that must be protected from destruction and the vital importance of preserving life.
